​Dr. Shawndra Maine is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Family Unity, LLC, bringing over 15 years of dedicated experience in the social services field. Her comprehensive background includes work in family preservation, foster care, foster home licensing, home studies, training and development, consultation, counseling, and program development.
​
Dr. Maine is certified by the Florida Certification Board as a Child Welfare Licensing Counselor-Supervisor and is also recognized as an Infant Mental Health Specialist. She is a certified Breakthrough Parenting Instructor, demonstrating her commitment to supporting healthy family systems through education and empowerment.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and both a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology in Behavioral Health Leadership from Walden University. In addition to her leadership role at Family Unity, Dr. Maine serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Broward College, where she teaches psychology courses.
